RD Bertus Coetzer is a husband, father of two, ultra trail runner, and passionate health professional with a background in dietetics, psychology, and nutritional psychiatry. He understands the struggles of living with obesity, eating disorders, mental health disorders, and diabetes, having experienced it himself. After losing over 50kgs and transforming his own life, he has dedicated himself to helping others do the same.
With a degree in Dietetics, psychology, and a CSCS certification, and a wealth of experience in psychiatric hospitals and private practice, Bert has honed his skills in using DBT to help clients change their eating habits and approach food and diet through a lens of psychology and neuroscience.
Dietitian Bert’s unique perspective and expertise have made him a sought-after speaker and educator, and he has been featured in several media outlets.
